Land-based learning and healing in Penngrove, Sonoma County

La Finca Sagrada

the sacred farm

La Finca Sagrada is the educational heart of our 5.46 acres. When this land came to me, it was raw agricultural ground with no trees, no power and no water. Every tree has been planted with intention, and I’m proud to say we are actively restoring it to a diverse, living ecosystem.

How we tend the land

Rooted in permaculture

Many of the principles we use are founded on permaculture, the traditional farming wisdom that people around the world have practiced since the beginning of agriculture.

That work includes a native pollinator habitat of 426 plants across 30 species, compost and soil-building programs supported by state grants, and medicinal herbs throughout.

The pollinator habitat planting is underway. Join the list to hear how to take part.

Learn by doing

A year-round place to learn

La Finca Sagrada is where people come to learn by doing. We’re building a year-round educational platform around:

  • Traditional herbal medicine
  • Natural building
  • Sustainable farming, harvesting and processing
  • Habitat restoration and tree pruning
  • Compost making and floral arrangement
The vision

A key part of the vision is a pipeline that brings urban communities to the land for learning and healing.

Bringing the medicine back to the people.

Why this farm

This farm is shaped by my path as a second-generation doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a food-as-medicine practitioner, and a land-based practitioner who wants to reconnect people to place, which I see as the original wound.

La Finca Sagrada is an invitation to be part of that restoration.

Dr. Natasha

Be part of the restoration.
